Patricia Bright is a Youtuber with Nigerian origins who has been recently announced as one of the cover UK’s finest magazine-Glamour UK. This exciting news gladdened the heart of every black female you-tuber. The You-Tube star who has been creating content on You-Tube for over 7 years was overjoyed at the news as she recounted on her instagram page.

Without deterring, Patricia bright has amassed a fan base of 2.2 million subscribers on Youtube with over 166 million views and also captured the heart of the nation with her fashion and beauty content including v-logs and videos with her family.

Her husband, Mike, and daughter, Grace, feature in many of her videos and fans have watched the young family grow right in front of their eyes.

The Nigerian/UK Youtuber has made history by landing the cover of Glamour Magazine UK talking about body confidence and her career.

Posting the cover on her Instagram, an excited Patricia wrote:

“Look mummy, we made it! My first ever front cover for a magazine. I read @glamouruk in awe growing up. It inspired me and triggered my first sparks and love of fashion and beauty. Never did I ever imagine that a South London girl like me who isn’t a model & considers herself to be fairly average, could be in the amazing and blessed position I am in today. I know there are many who look up and across to me and see themselves in my story and journey. Patricia’s easy-charm and straight-talking on any subject, including the pressure to achieve perfection. She said:

“I look at the girls with tiny waists, big boobs and perfect bums, and that’s lovely. But that’s not my reality, because I love cake!”, admits the 31-year old mother-of-one.

My reality might be a bit more squidgy, but I’m still comfortable with who I am and not being perfect. And if I want to change things, that’s great, too. Real beauty comes from who you are on the inside and as I’ve grown into myself, I’ve realised that beauty genuinely is in the eye of the beholder. There will be people who find you beautiful regardless of society’s beauty standards, so find that group. Find the people who love you.”

She’s also spoke candidly about holding the industry to account, over the lack of inclusion and recalls her own experience growing up with few black role models:

When I was growing up, there weren’t many black celebrities in the UK. So, I looked to American women like Oprah and Tyra Banks. I didn’t know much about Naomi Campbell, but now I appreciate how great she is. I’ve seen her at events and she has this amazing grace. When she walks into the room, everyone looks up.”

Easy DIY Eyelash Serums For Longer and Healthy Lashes

Each treatment comes with its own pros and cons that should be weighed carefully.

Don’t let the cost and maintenance of eyelash care deter you from giving a little glow to your eyelashes, which can be done quite easily and inexpensively at home. Try one of these eyelash conditioning treatments or serums regularly to encourage your lash growth and strength.

Castor Oil Lash Strengthener

1 teaspoon castor oil
2 capsules Vitamin E
1 teaspoon coconut oil
Empty container and mascara wand

Known for its proteins and mild texture, castor oil has long been used to improve hair thickness and strength. In a clean, glass container add castor and coconut oil. Pierce and drain the Vitamin E capsules into the container and mix well by shaking. Using a disposable mascara wand, dip the wand into the solution and apply nightly. Apply to clean lashes as you would mascara, concentrating at the lash roots.

Argan Lash Conditioner

1 teaspoon avocado oil
1 teaspoon argan oil
1 teaspoon almond oil
Empty container and mascara wand

These three oils combined create a powerhouse for stimulating hair growth. You can even apply it to eyebrows as well if you’re looking to create a thicker and stronger brow line. Combine equal parts of all three oils in a container. Shake well before each application with a disposable wand. Apply nightly to clean lashes.

Vitamin E Deep Lash Treatment

Straight vitamin E oil does wonders for hair follicle damage, not only repairing but encouraging growth. Using a vitamin E capsule or vitamin E liquid, apply using a lash brush or disposable mascara wand for a deep treatment for your lashes.
