6 Habits That Will Make You Look Forever Young

Embracing new healthy habits take a lot of effort and bravery. Convincing and motivating yourself to see that it is achievable is also quite necessary.

People desire to look healthy and strong but the question is, Are they ready to do what it takes to achieve this look? Will they let go of some habits they have got comfortable with and embrace new ones that will improve their looks and appearance?

Below are steps to follow that will ensure anti-aging and make you look forever young.

Reduce Your Sugar Intake

This does not only reduce the risk of diabetes but also keeps the wrinkles at bay.  Excess sugar does the body no good: It potentially contributes to quick aging and harmful health conditions e.g diabetes and heart failure.
Research has shown that once in the bloodstream, sugar grabs onto collagen and elastin molecules, turning their soft and supple fibers rigid and weak. As a result, these fibers can no longer do the heavy lifting necessary to keep skin firm.

According to a research carried out in the Netherlands, those with lower blood sugar were thought to look, a full year younger than those with higher blood sugar levels.

Drink More Water

Water prevents dehydration and sluggishness and gives a flatter belly.
A few extra glasses a day may help you stay in your favorite jeans. A 2011 study found that people who drank four or more cups of water daily were 21 percent less likely to develop high blood sugar than those who drank two cups or less. High blood sugar, over time, can trigger a cascade of events that cause the body to store fat—often the kind that settles around the belly.

Also, limit diet soda: One study found that people who drank diet soda gained almost three times as much abdominal fat over nine years as those who didn’t drink diet beverages.

Consume Less Salt

You should consume less salt to reduce blood pressure and puffiness under the eyes.
When our kidneys detect excess sodium in the blood, they cause the body to retain fluid in an effort to dilute it. During the daily activity, fluid from the dissolved salt is distributed to every part of the body, this explains why our fingers, ankles, and feet can feel swollen at the end of a long day. At night, this fluid moves throughout the body, including the eye area which results in puffiness.

This puffiness can be controlled by reducing the sodium intake.

Exercise Daily

One who exercises regularly will never go wrong. Exercise strengthens the muscles that support the spine, and the stronger they get, the less effort it takes to maintain good posture.

Get Enough Rest

Rest does the body a lot of good. Sleep well to calm your nerves and ease off the stress of the day’s work. A good sleep will take away wrinkles and make you worry less, It will make you look calm and attractive, getting enough sleep manages your weight and makes you look fitter. It makes your skin glow and takes away those dark circles and bags underneath your eyes.

To eliminate premature aging, ensure you have at least eight hours of sleep per night.

Consumption of Fatty Foods

These foods cause chronic inflammation. Consuming daily meals containing food such as vegetable oils, margarine, red meats, white bread, or sugary, processed foods, you’re not doing your skin any favors. These foods can cause inflammation in your body, which may accelerate wrinkle formation.  These foods will help your skin maintain its soft and supple look.

Be sure to eat enough fruits and vegetables, fresh produce abundant in zinc, selenium, vitamin C, and beta carotene, all of which are key players in the body’s production of collagen (which keeps skin firm), as well as protecting against free radicals which will help your skin maintain its soft and supple look.

If you abide by these principles, you will sure improve your looks and appearance.
